Sole Carers Program - Parentlink
Parentlink is open to all individuals that are caring for a child on their own. This includes mums, dads, foster carers & grandparents. The Ballarat YMCA offers friendship and support, through providing opportunities for families to participate in a wide variety of affordable family friendly activties.
Aims and Objectives
This program aims to remove the barriers which prevented active participation, to provide sole carers with opportunities to participate in physical activities with their children. As follows:
- ACTIVE TOGETHER - Enables carers and children to be active together in a social setting.
- ACTIVE FAMILIES NETWORK - Fosters family togetherness, development of social networks and promotes community activity.
